The #1 Twitter Myth That Will Make All Your Efforts Obsolete

Ok, let’s roll. There is a lot of talk about “etiquette” out there, and that’s GOOD! However, sometimes things are getting a little out of hand. All I ask, is that you use common sense, as you ponder the question I’m posing in this video.

Be honest. Share your thoughts. Please consider the following statistically relevant findings, as you ponder your answer: Did you know that 60% of all people active on twitter will disappear from twitter after 30 days? As a business-minded entrepreneur, what should this mean to you?

    Hi Mark,

What great advice in just 3 1/2 minutes!

Twitter rushes past so fast that the only way to get noticed and make any connections is automation (or you go nuts trying keep up), block tweets (ingenious!) and providing quality (don’t be afraid to be yourself!).

At the moment the only thing I tweet with a link is geniune free information that I think is worthwhile. There’s nothing worse than tweeting affiliate links … it’s boring, boring, boring – much better to link to a blog to build a relationship.

So, in the next few weeks looks like I have some work to do to set upTwitter so it works without me having to watch it every minute! The other thing I thought I would do is create a favourites column in tweetdeck to make RT’s easier as I now have a good idea of who I like to RT.

    Thanks again. Always good stuff!

    Cheers
    Inara
